How you can help

Donate a computer

If you have used PCs or laptops with Intel Core i3 processors or better, no more than about 5 years old, and would like to donate them, please contact us. We will pick them up and provide you with a letter certifying your donation for tax purposes. We guarantee that all data on the computer when we receive it will be securely and permanently deleted.

If you are not sure how old your computers are, and if we will be able to use them, don't worry. We will pick them up no matter how old they are, and if it turns out they are too old for us to use, we will responsibly recycle them.

Since Random Acts of Computers is a 501(c)(3) federally-recognized charity, you will be able to deduct the value of any computers you donate from your income taxes. We will be happy to give you a tax donation letter, confirming your donation.

If you like the idea of what we are doing, please feel free to donate some money to help our operations. All of our labor is volunteer, and nobody here takes a salary for this work, so all donations will be used 100% to support our mission. Your donation will be used for purchasing software, replacement batteries and power adapters, and other similar parts that we use when refurbishing the computers.

All donations are fully tax-deductible, and we will send you a letter confirming your donation for tax purposes.

Donate your time
If you are an IT worker, and have the skills to wipe and reload a computer, please let us know – we would love to have some additional help.
