Donate Computers

We guarantee that all data on donated computers will be permanently erased. No one will ever have access to any data on any computer donated to Random Acts of Computers.

Since Random Acts of Computer is a federally-recognized 501(c)(3) charitable organization, all donations that have any value will be tax-deductible, and we will be happy to provide you with a letter certifying your donation.

We accept the following hardware donations:

● Laptops with Intel processors (Core i3, Core i5, Core i7, Pentium: all 4th-generation (model # 4XXX) or newer)

● Laptops with AMD Ryzen processors (3rd-generation (model #3XXX) or newer)

● Mac laptops running MacOS 10.13 or newer

We do not accept:

● Monitors. We can take those away for you and have them recycled, at a cost of $25 per device.

● Servers. We can take those away for you and have them recycled, at a cost of $35 per device.

● Desktop or tower computers. We can take those away for you and have them recycled, at a cost of $25 per device.

● Printers, though we can take them away for you and have them recycled. This costs $35 per printer.

● Computers and laptops with AMD processors, or older Intel processors. We can take those away for you and have them recycled, at a cost of $25 per device. If you need the hard drives destroyed, that costs $45 per PC or laptop.

● Cell phones, smart phones, PDAs, tablets. We will take those away and have them recycled. There is no charge unless you need them destroyed, in which case they cost $25 each.
